Unboxing and First Checks

Unboxing and First Checks

When your industrial sewing machine, automation equipment, or related machinery is delivered, it is important to complete a thorough inspection before installation or power-up. Carrying out these checks helps identify any issues early and ensures the fastest possible resolution.

Step 1: Inspect the Delivery on Arrival

Before signing for delivery, inspect the outer packaging carefully. Look for signs of damage such as crushed corners, torn wrapping, or impact marks. If any damage is visible, make a note with the courier where possible.

Alert
It is your responsibility to report all damage or potential issues. Signing for the delivery "Clean" does not allow us to put an insurance claim in with the courier as every pallet we send is insured.

Step 2: Photograph and Report Any Damage

If you notice damage to the packaging or equipment:

  • Take clear photographs from multiple angles

  • Videos are also welcome that can be sent and used as evidence

  • Notify AE Sewing Machines as soon as possible

Prompt reporting allows us to investigate and resolve issues quickly with the carrier.

Step 3: Unbox and Check Contents

Carefully unbox or unwrap the machine and confirm that:

  • All accessories and supplied components are present

  • Manuals, tools, and additional items listed on your order are included

Handle equipment carefully during unboxing to avoid accidental damage.

Step 4: Retain All Packaging

Please retain all packaging materials until installation, setup, and initial testing are complete. Original packaging may be required if further inspection, return, or transport is necessary.

Important Notice

Do not power on or operate the machine if there is visible damage to the equipment or components. Using damaged machinery may cause further issues and delay resolution.

Early inspection and reporting help ensure your industrial sewing machine or equipment is installed safely and performs as expected from day one.
