What Your Warranty Covers

What Your Warranty Covers

AE Sewing Machines provides warranty protection in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of Sale and our Warranty & Product Policy, which form part of the contract between you and Advance Enterprises (Automation) Ltd t/a AE Sewing Machines.

What the Standard Warranty Covers

  • All new equipment supplied by AE Sewing Machines includes a 12-month back-to-base warranty as standard. This means that you have to return the equipment back to our Head Office in Wrexham for the repair to be carried out free of charge. If the goods are unable to be returned, you will be charged travelling expenses or more commonly known as "Travelling Time" to cover costs. This is billed from the time we leave the office to the time we return, minus the time spent on-site. This is accepted when an order is placed are you are conforming to our terms and conditions.

  • This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal operating conditions.

Warranty terms may vary depending on the specific product, so you should check the warranty details provided on your order confirmation or product page.

What Is Not Covered Under Warranty

The warranty specifically excludes items that are:

  • Designed to wear down during normal use

  • Consumables or wear parts

  • Parts that degrade over time due to normal machine operation

Examples of parts that wear through use and are not covered include (but are not limited to):

  • Belts

  • Bobbins and bobbin cases

  • Feed dogs

  • Guards

  • Hook and base assemblies

  • Presser feet

  • Screws and springs

  • Knives and loopers

These components are expected to wear as part of regular operation and should be replaced as needed.

This exclusion is clearly stated in both the Warranty & Product Policy and the Terms & Conditions of Sale

Misuse, Installation, and Outside Use

Warranty does not apply if equipment faults are caused by:

  • Incorrect installation or setup

  • Misuse, abuse, or operation outside the way the machine was designed

  • Modifications or third-party engineering involvement that are not authorised by AE Sewing Machines

  • Use of unsuitable materials, consumables, or parts not recommended for the machine

Where a machine has been tampered with, modified, or altered by an unauthorised third party, warranty protection is void.

How Warranty Repairs Work

Under the standard terms:

  • Faulty machines covered by warranty must be returned to the head office in Wrexham, North Wales for repair at the customer’s expense (unless otherwise agreed).

  • If the customer cannot return the machine, our engineers can attend site, but travel time may be charged

Parts required for repair that are not covered by warranty (such as consumables or wear parts) will be charged separately.

Why This Matters

Understanding what your warranty does and does not cover helps:

  • Avoid misunderstandings about warranty eligibility

  • Set realistic expectations for repairs and service

  • Support safe and compliant operation of equipment

  • Protect long-term performance

AE Sewing Machines aims to be transparent about warranty coverage and to support customers wherever possible within the scope of the Terms & Conditions of Sale and Warranty & Product Policy.
